ie Ground Classes and Flying Training. While flying training gives that edge to the entire programme which involves actual feel of the cockpit , its the ground subjects which are lengthy and demands dedication and focus. DGCA allows multiple attempts to clear the ground school subjects, with each new attempt coming up in a time interval of 3 months. However, the duration of your CPL Course is directly proportional to the time you take to clear the ground subjects exam.

Basic prerequisites


You must complete Class XII under the 10 2 system or its equivalent with a minimum of 50 per cent marks in maths and physics.

Your vision in one eye must be perfect. General physical fitness is mandatory. You must be free of any disease that can hamper normal function.

You need to complete the requisite number of hours, clear written papers and the medical examination.

You need 70 percent marks to pass in each of these papers. You can keep appearing until you clear them.

Including all the exams minimum flying hours, flying tests, written tests, etc. The course duration is a maximum of 18 months in most of the colleges. However, it may vary from college to college.
